The National Palace Museum holds eight scrolls of paintings entitled "Up the River During Qingming" that are annotated as being painted by Song, Ming or Qing artists. The most famous is the "Qing Court Version of 'Up the River During Qingming'", which has been chosen as one of the display themes at the Taiwan Pavilion of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The National Palace Museum has particularly taken new digital images of the entire scroll, with close-ups of various scenes, so that the organizers of the Pavilion can prepare a multimedia film of the scroll. The full scroll is being displayed at the Museum. This illustrated catalogue also includes related historical documents from the Qing court and accumulated results of new research undertaken over the years, hopefully bringing readers an even more enriched learning experience.
