The textbooks are compiled for Chinese learners whose mother tongue is French to master basic knowledge of listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as to grasp communication skills in Chinese. The Volume One includes four books of Textbook, Exercise Book of Chinese Characters, Exercise Book and Teacher's Book.
The Textbook is the main part of the textbooks and focuses on functional usage and culture introduction. The texts are in simplified and traditional Chinese characters with phonetic symbols and French translation. Each lesson includes list of new words and phrases, text, notes, grammar rules and cultural notes. The texts are composed of two interrelated parts and the vocabulary is also divided into two parts. The main characters of the texts are relatively stable while there are also new elements in each text to attract the learners, making all the texts an integrated part to reflect the extensive range of real life.
